Old Ordnance Survey Maps

A selection of highly detailed "Old Ordnance Survey Maps", taken from the 1/2500 plans and reprinted at approximately 14" to the mile.

We are frequently asked what the maps actually show-if a particular village or street-sometimes-even an individual house! We have been asked to supply the map with the customers house exactly in the centre! Seldom are large scale maps available showing villages - they simply would not be viable . With the best will in the world we cannot answer all these questions or assist in your particular research. But it really is amazing the detail this series of maps show - bearing in mind the low cover price. We will always try and help where possible, but do bear the above points in mind when enquiring.

Boston 1904
Detailed map covers most of the town of Boston, with coverage stretching from Liquorpond Street northward to Hospital Bridge Lane, and eastward to Tower Road. Major features include The Haven, station, West Street, Wide Bargate, Market Place, St Botolph's church, Allan House, River Witham, Maud Foster Drain, Bargate Bridge, Maud Foster Mills, Rout Green Brewery, GNR Workshops, and the many narrow lanes and alleys that cluster in the town centre.
