Chemical Cleaning Products

 

By placing an object in a solution of an appropriate chemical, which may be acid or alkali, pleasing results can be obtained on a selected range of your metal detecting finds. Care should always be exercised by practising on items which have little or no intrinsic value. And remember, very different results can be obtained even by cleaning a similar object of a similar age and type.

Ethylene-Diamine-Acetic-Acid (E.D.T.A.) 60g

Citric Acid 250g

Used for removing corrosion spots on copper-alloy objects. Also removes corrosion (white powdery deposits) on lead and pewter. Amongst other applications, used for cleaning by electrolysis.

Used for the treatment of 'bronze disease'.
