There
are three operating modes on this machine, the first two being the normal
Discrimination and All Metal Modes, on this machine there is additionally a
Notch facility allowing you to eliminate particular ranges of unwanted targets,
while still detecting targets above and below this setting. Target
identification is made in two ways, firstly by the three tone ID system and also
by the clear view LCD Target ID Meter, which will also display target depth as
well as sensitivity and disc/notch levels and low battery alert. All adjustments
to the Black Knight ID are made by use of the touch pads on the control box and are
displayed on the LCD screen. The Black Knight Magpie ID also has a speaker,
1/8th" headphone socket, an 8" waterproof search coil and is powered
by two 9 volt pp3 batteries.
