British Copper Tokens 1811-1820

This book is about copper tokens issued in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, dated 1811-1817 in the case of mainland and 1800-1834 for Ireland and the Isle of Man. Included are copper sixpences, threepences, twopences, pennies, halfpennies and farthings, and a ‘one pint’ token! Those pieces that have no denomination expressed, or no date, but have similar diameters and weights or style to those that do, are also included, providing that in the authors’ opinion they were issues intent of fulfilling a monetary purpose during the time period mentioned above.

This book is the result of three years of original research! Reviews have found much to praise. One reviewer said that it was the best reference book since Dalton & Hamer in 1918; another said it was the best standard reference book on tokens written!
