Standard Catalogue of British Coins, Volume Two. Second Edition.

This is the first edition since 1984 of The Standard Catalogue of Coins of Scotland, Ireland and the Islands. This new edition has been totally re-priced and brought up to date throughout. It incorporates recently published research, particularly in Alexander III, with a re-classification of the second coinage, Sterlings, based on the works of North and Stewart. Many new varieties of Scottish Milled silver are now listed with prices, and the proof issues in the Irish section have been incorporated within the main body of the text. Many new varieties of Gun money have been discovered since 1984, and these have now been included. All the Free State and Republic issue proofs have been included and priced in the main body of the catalogue. Mintage figures have been included in the Modern Irish and Channel Island sections, whilst many of the more unusual proofs are now included with prices in the Isle of Man section. We hope to publish revised editions of this catalogue on a more regular basis, and with this in mind, we would be grateful to hear from anyone with unpublished material with a view to including it in subsequent editions.
