This is the twenty-ninth volume to appear in the 'Syllogue of Coins of the British Isles' series. The volume includes over one thousand coins from the collections of the Merseyside County Museums, Liverpool, ranging from the Ancient British issues down to later coins from English, Scottish, and Irish mints to 1279 and associated foreign coins with an English provenance. The scope of the volume was extended in its preparation to include the short cross and long cross series both because of the group from the York mint and because of the group from Meols in Wirral.
